Narrative:
This A320 had FMS1. When the arrival choices were presented for landing runway 27R; the BOJID1 arrival was not a choice. The only arrival close to this spelling was the BOJ27B arrival. We chose this arrival and checked all waypoints -- they were correct but most of the altitude and airspeed restrs were missing. This may be peculiar to FMS1; but FMS2 has consistently shown the arrival as BOJID1. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that his air carrier's airbus fleet have two different FMS types. However; not many aircraft remain in their fleet with the FMS type that his report described. He stressed that the FMS RNAV waypoints were correct but the crew had to be attentive to the crossing restrictions which were not included when the procedure was selected.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: AN A320 CAPT REPORTS THE ACFT'S FMS1 DATABASE DID NOT HAVE A COMPLETE BOJID ONE RNAV ARR. DIFFERENT ACFT WITH FMS2 DATABASES HAD COMPLETE PROCEDURES.
Narrative: THIS A320 HAD FMS1. WHEN THE ARR CHOICES WERE PRESENTED FOR LNDG RWY 27R; THE BOJID1 ARR WAS NOT A CHOICE. THE ONLY ARR CLOSE TO THIS SPELLING WAS THE BOJ27B ARR. WE CHOSE THIS ARR AND CHKED ALL WAYPOINTS -- THEY WERE CORRECT BUT MOST OF THE ALT AND AIRSPD RESTRS WERE MISSING. THIS MAY BE PECULIAR TO FMS1; BUT FMS2 HAS CONSISTENTLY SHOWN THE ARR AS BOJID1. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE REPORTER STATED THAT HIS ACR'S AIRBUS FLEET HAVE TWO DIFFERENT FMS TYPES. HOWEVER; NOT MANY ACFT REMAIN IN THEIR FLEET WITH THE FMS TYPE THAT HIS REPORT DESCRIBED. HE STRESSED THAT THE FMS RNAV WAYPOINTS WERE CORRECT BUT THE CREW HAD TO BE ATTENTIVE TO THE CROSSING RESTRICTIONS WHICH WERE NOT INCLUDED WHEN THE PROCEDURE WAS SELECTED.
