Narrative:
On jul/xa-xb/08 aircraft was in ZZZ for a line check; #1 propeller grease level check and other scheduled items. I performed the grease level inspection; found the level was satisfactory and only put the bolt in hand-tight and not torqued. This was not found until jul/xa/08 during an 'a' check. I was later informed by e-mail from my supervisor and lead on jul/xb/08 after my wkend. Pictures were also provided in the e-mail. Other than I missed up; I would say it was complacency due to an almost nightly requirement for grease level inspection. Pay more attention.

Title: A MECHANIC IS INFORMED HE ONLY HAND TIGHTENED AND DID NOT TORQUE THE #1 ENGINE PROP GREASE BOLT ON A DHC-8-400 ACFT.
Narrative: ON JUL/XA-XB/08 ACFT WAS IN ZZZ FOR A LINE CHK; #1 PROP GREASE LEVEL CHK AND OTHER SCHEDULED ITEMS. I PERFORMED THE GREASE LEVEL INSPECTION; FOUND THE LEVEL WAS SATISFACTORY AND ONLY PUT THE BOLT IN HAND-TIGHT AND NOT TORQUED. THIS WAS NOT FOUND UNTIL JUL/XA/08 DURING AN 'A' CHK. I WAS LATER INFORMED BY E-MAIL FROM MY SUPVR AND LEAD ON JUL/XB/08 AFTER MY WKEND. PICTURES WERE ALSO PROVIDED IN THE E-MAIL. OTHER THAN I MISSED UP; I WOULD SAY IT WAS COMPLACENCY DUE TO AN ALMOST NIGHTLY REQUIREMENT FOR GREASE LEVEL INSPECTION. PAY MORE ATTN.
