Narrative:

On approach to ZZZ we experienced a gear disagreement master warning. The gear failed to extend normally when the gear lever was positioned in the down selection. We continued to the go around; and were assigned a new heading and altitude. The captain ran the checklist; I flew the airplane. We manually extended the gear and had 3 green down indications. We declared an emergency; had the crash fire rescue equipment standing by. The landing went normal; we taxied off and were towed in by the maintenance crew.
