Narrative:
Frequency 127.55 utilized by 2 different sectors. When sector 18 uses this frequency for their traffic; it leaves sector 41 unable to communicate with sector 41 traffic down 70 in the northeast quadrant of sector 41 airspace. Without utilizing 2 frequencys (133.6/127.55) sector 41 does not have frequency coverage of its airspace. Splitting one frequency between 2 sectors based on sector need will not work when the situation arises that both sectors need it at the same time.

Title: ZTL CTLR VOICED CONCERN REGARDING A FACILITY OPERATIONAL PROC; REQUIRING TWO SECTORS TO SHARE A FREQ.
Narrative: FREQ 127.55 UTILIZED BY 2 DIFFERENT SECTORS. WHEN SECTOR 18 USES THIS FREQ FOR THEIR TFC; IT LEAVES SECTOR 41 UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH SECTOR 41 TFC DOWN 70 IN THE NE QUADRANT OF SECTOR 41 AIRSPACE. WITHOUT UTILIZING 2 FREQS (133.6/127.55) SECTOR 41 DOES NOT HAVE FREQ COVERAGE OF ITS AIRSPACE. SPLITTING ONE FREQ BTWN 2 SECTORS BASED ON SECTOR NEED WILL NOT WORK WHEN THE SITUATION ARISES THAT BOTH SECTORS NEED IT AT THE SAME TIME.
