Narrative:
On sep/xa/08; aircraft X was in ZZZZ for an inspection. During this inspection; the nose landing gear strut was svced in accordance with emb work card by myself and was assisted by other mechanic. I was informed by my supervisor; on the next day's shift; that the crew had reported the nose gear strut was bottoming out while taxiing to the gate after landing in ZZZ. The incident occurred upon arrival in ZZZ after successfully completing 1 cycle from ZZZZ to ZZZ1. Provided in the bracket is verbatim what the crew wrote as a discrepancy after landing in ZZZ. (When extending gear; nose gear is making loud clunking sound and while taxiing; nose gear is bottoming out.) ZZZ maintenance signed off the discrepancy with the following corrective action: flushed and svced nose landing gear with hydraulic fluid and N2 in accordance with emb work card. Jacked and swung gear 2 times; no clunking or unusual sounds noted at this time. The procedures stated in emb work card were followed. I did not encounter any malfunction in either of the schrader valves when performing the service of the strut. Therefore; at this time; I am unsure as to why the malfunction of the nose landing gear strut took place. After talking with my supervisors; it was decided that additional training into the operation and servicing of the nose landing gear strut would be beneficial to myself and other mechanics as well.

Title: MECHANIC IS INFORMED THE DAY AFTER SERVICING THE NOSE LNDG GEAR OF AN EMB-145LR; THAT A FLIGHT CREW HAD REPORTED THE NOSE GEAR STRUT WAS BOTTOMING OUT WHILE TAXIING TO GATE AFTER LANDING.
Narrative: ON SEP/XA/08; ACFT X WAS IN ZZZZ FOR AN INSPECTION. DURING THIS INSPECTION; THE NOSE LNDG GEAR STRUT WAS SVCED IN ACCORDANCE WITH EMB WORK CARD BY MYSELF AND WAS ASSISTED BY OTHER MECH. I WAS INFORMED BY MY SUPVR; ON THE NEXT DAY'S SHIFT; THAT THE CREW HAD RPTED THE NOSE GEAR STRUT WAS BOTTOMING OUT WHILE TAXIING TO THE GATE AFTER LNDG IN ZZZ. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED UPON ARR IN ZZZ AFTER SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING 1 CYCLE FROM ZZZZ TO ZZZ1. PROVIDED IN THE BRACKET IS VERBATIM WHAT THE CREW WROTE AS A DISCREPANCY AFTER LNDG IN ZZZ. (WHEN EXTENDING GEAR; NOSE GEAR IS MAKING LOUD CLUNKING SOUND AND WHILE TAXIING; NOSE GEAR IS BOTTOMING OUT.) ZZZ MAINT SIGNED OFF THE DISCREPANCY WITH THE FOLLOWING CORRECTIVE ACTION: FLUSHED AND SVCED NOSE LNDG GEAR WITH HYD FLUID AND N2 IN ACCORDANCE WITH EMB WORK CARD. JACKED AND SWUNG GEAR 2 TIMES; NO CLUNKING OR UNUSUAL SOUNDS NOTED AT THIS TIME. THE PROCS STATED IN EMB WORK CARD WERE FOLLOWED. I DID NOT ENCOUNTER ANY MALFUNCTION IN EITHER OF THE SCHRADER VALVES WHEN PERFORMING THE SVC OF THE STRUT. THEREFORE; AT THIS TIME; I AM UNSURE AS TO WHY THE MALFUNCTION OF THE NOSE LNDG GEAR STRUT TOOK PLACE. AFTER TALKING WITH MY SUPVRS; IT WAS DECIDED THAT ADDITIONAL TRAINING INTO THE OP AND SVCING OF THE NOSE LNDG GEAR STRUT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL TO MYSELF AND OTHER MECHS AS WELL.
