Narrative:
Departed with hazmat on board without hazmat paperwork. Received final weights late and no mention of hazard on board. As we were cleared for takeoff on runway 32L at T10; dispatch notified us that we had an aircraft battery on board in pit 5 and we did not receive paperwork. Continued takeoff and received ACARS from dispatch saying we cannot depart without paperwork. Dispatch said that this has been a common occurrence and that the lead dropped the ball. It was too late in our takeoff and cockpit checks to abort the takeoff for the paperwork.
