Narrative:
I served as first officer on an large transport. While reading the checklist prior to takeoff out of den on runway 35, I did not hear the wind given by the tower for takeoff. The tower asked if we could accept that wind for takeoff and the captain told me to answer yes, which I did. Another aircraft stated the wind was not legal. We immediately started the takeoff roll. I stated I didn't understand the wind. After the fact I was told that 2 winds were given. The approach end for runway 35 was 190 degrees at 7 KTS. The midfield or midrwy, I'm not sure which, was 190 degrees at 12 KTS. The maximum tailwind component allowed is 10 KTS for takeoff. During the takeoff roll I heard the tower state the midfield or midrwy wind was 190 degrees 12 KTS. The captain believes that the approach end wind of 190 degrees at 7 KTS was the official and therefore legal wind. What is the official wind for takeoff under these circumstances?

Title: ACR LGT CREW MEMBER NOT CERTAIN IF TKOF WAS LEGAL UNDER REPORTED WIND CONDITIONS.
Narrative: I SERVED AS F/O ON AN LGT. WHILE READING THE CHKLIST PRIOR TO TKOF OUT OF DEN ON RWY 35, I DID NOT HEAR THE WIND GIVEN BY THE TWR FOR TKOF. THE TWR ASKED IF WE COULD ACCEPT THAT WIND FOR TKOF AND THE CAPT TOLD ME TO ANSWER YES, WHICH I DID. ANOTHER ACFT STATED THE WIND WAS NOT LEGAL. WE IMMEDIATELY STARTED THE TKOF ROLL. I STATED I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE WIND. AFTER THE FACT I WAS TOLD THAT 2 WINDS WERE GIVEN. THE APCH END FOR RWY 35 WAS 190 DEGS AT 7 KTS. THE MIDFIELD OR MIDRWY, I'M NOT SURE WHICH, WAS 190 DEGS AT 12 KTS. THE MAX TAILWIND COMPONENT ALLOWED IS 10 KTS FOR TKOF. DURING THE TKOF ROLL I HEARD THE TWR STATE THE MIDFIELD OR MIDRWY WIND WAS 190 DEGS 12 KTS. THE CAPT BELIEVES THAT THE APCH END WIND OF 190 DEGS AT 7 KTS WAS THE OFFICIAL AND THEREFORE LEGAL WIND. WHAT IS THE OFFICIAL WIND FOR TKOF UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES?
