Narrative:
An ATC clearance was issued to turn 15 degrees to the right. The PF executes a turn to the left instead. 60 seconds later; ATC re-issues the clearance to turn to a right heading of 90 degrees; PF executes the clearance and the PNF confirms the new heading. The PNF was trying to get the ATIS information for the landing airport. Even though company policies and procedures were followed; a rare event of distraction might have been taken place.
