Narrative:
The tower cleared us for takeoff on runway 35L to head 360 degrees after takeoff. I acknowledged the takeoff clearance and heading back to tower. The captain gave me control of the aircraft once aligned with the runway and I acknowledged control of the aircraft. As we rolled down the runway the captain called V1/vr, as I rotated our aircraft, medium large transport Y began to cross the runway in front of us. I continued the rotation and flew our plane over medium large transport Y which was on the runway, crossing from our right to left (east to west). Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter's captain contacted management at dfw tower after this incident. The supervisor stated that an error was made by the ground controller in allowing the air carrier medium large transport to cross the runway west/O coordination with local control and with an aircraft rolling for takeoff.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: ACR MLG ALLOWED TO CROSS RWY WHILE ACR MLG WAS ON TKOF ROLL.
Narrative: THE TWR CLRED US FOR TKOF ON RWY 35L TO HEAD 360 DEGS AFTER TKOF. I ACKNOWLEDGED THE TKOF CLRNC AND HDG BACK TO TWR. THE CAPT GAVE ME CTL OF THE ACFT ONCE ALIGNED WITH THE RWY AND I ACKNOWLEDGED CTL OF THE ACFT. AS WE ROLLED DOWN THE RWY THE CAPT CALLED V1/VR, AS I ROTATED OUR ACFT, MLG Y BEGAN TO CROSS THE RWY IN FRONT OF US. I CONTINUED THE ROTATION AND FLEW OUR PLANE OVER MLG Y WHICH WAS ON THE RWY, XING FROM OUR RIGHT TO LEFT (E TO W). CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: RPTR'S CAPT CONTACTED MGMNT AT DFW TWR AFTER THIS INCIDENT. THE SUPVR STATED THAT AN ERROR WAS MADE BY THE GND CTLR IN ALLOWING THE ACR MLG TO CROSS THE RWY W/O COORD WITH LCL CTL AND WITH AN ACFT ROLLING FOR TKOF.
