Narrative:
We were taxiing south on taxiway J and had just started our right turn onto taxiway a when a white truck with flashing red light passed in front of us traveling southbound on the right edge of taxiway J at a very high rate of speed somewhere between 40-60 mph. The truck came within 10-15 ft of the aircraft. I had to step on the brakes very quickly to avoid hitting the truck. Once the truck had moved out of the way; we continued taxiing. I informed the ramp controller on the frequency what had just happened.
