Narrative:
Vent blower fault ECAM. ECAM accomplished. Referenced flight manual and contacted maintenance. Flight manual has reference to 'older airplanes' and 'newer airplanes.' the only reference I could find to determine which type this is; was the last 2 sentences in page XXXX which refers to yellow capped cbs. Apparently; the only place the n-numbers are actually spelled out is in a document which we don't have access to. As busy as we can be accomplishing ECAM; talking to dispatch/maintenance; getting alternate weather; etc.; these n-numbers really need to be included in the procedure rather than the 'older airplane/newer airplane' line. This is much too time consuming at a critical time.
