Narrative:
Taxi out to runway; a large white bus with a red and a blue stripe was moving in the same direction -- we were on a parallel road. The bus was moving fast; then made a left turn to cross taxiway D in front of us. He looked like he was trying to beat us through the intersection crossing taxiway D. When he made the left turn; I yelled out 'watch him; watch him.' I threw on the brakes with the plane coming to a rest with the nose in the intersection of taxiway D and the service road. I was unable to go farther because the entire bus plus about 20 ft was past the stop sign and over the line. I could not move forward till the bus moved back behind the line. We kept waving him back but he would not move. Even after repeated attempts to try and get him to move back; he would only wave us forward. He would not move back. We told tower; ground control and called our operations. Law enforcement finally came and made him back up. We sat there blocking traffic on the taxiway for 8 minutes.
