Narrative:
The incident described on the attached statement occurred when I showed for my scheduled flight. After the incident I was released. Statement regarding the incident, 3/88: on 3/tue/88 I went directly to work from the house of a friend. I had a pistol in its case at my friends house. It was raining. For ease of portage to the car, I put the case and all of my other belongings in my suitcase. Due to the inclement WX, treacherous road conditions and the distraction of parking in the new employee parking lot, I forgot to remove the encased pistol and leave it in the car. When airport security personnel x-rayed the suitcase, they found it. My request to give the pistol to security for safekeeping or to return it to my car for storage was denied. I was arrested and the rest of the incident is a matter of record. I had no intention of carrying a weapon onboard any aircraft, nor have I ever done so in the past, nor will I do so in the future.
