Itws (integrated terminal weather system) recently replaced jan working weather-monitoring equipment. Over the past months jan has dealt with numerous weather conditions and has been unable to help or relay weather information to pilots upon request because the new equipment is OTS. Controllers at jan are requesting our old weather equipment back or someone to properly fix the equipment that we have. The above mention fix will allow us to help pilots and to safely expedite the flow of air traffic at jan.
