Narrative:
On 3/thu/88 we departed for atl. Our chief pilot told us we may have a slight problem because the routing had been changed. We said we would request a full route readback. We were cleared V103 J48 macey 8 atl. We could not find such a routing on any chart in the direction we were flying. I then requested direct sug arwy TOC. The controller said unable. He then questioned the date of our charts which were outdated. A revision went into effect 3/thu with changes to the arwy. Our company had not issued those revisions to us and did not until it was brought to their attention that there had been major changes. The controller in wash center was also aware that we did not have the correct charts because one of our flts had departed a few mins prior.
