Narrative:
The incident that I was involved in happened when I tried/attempted to stop my PA-11 too quickly and ended up nosing it over. Since my aircraft is light sport aircraft qualified; I did not have my current medical with me. The aircraft sustained damage to the nose bowl; prop; oil cooler and lower cowling. The main and only factor was that I; the pilot in command at the time with no passengers; hit the brakes hard trying to stop fast/short for the short field takeoff and landing competition that I was entered in.
