Narrative:
An A319 came in with landing gear log item. I was the lead mechanic that assigned the overnight check to the mechanics. Mechanics performed a landing gear swing check per amm 32-31-00-720-052. I was informed later in the shift that the mechanics found some damage to the tail section of the aircraft after completing their check.
