Narrative:
On wed mar 88 I began taxiing. Received the ATIS information and contacted ground control. I asked them for a VFR code 'so you guys can watch over me.' (actual quote). Ground said that they wouldn't give me a code but to ask tower for one. I asked tower and told them that I wanted a code and my intentions were to climb to 13500' east of the field for a test flight. They said they wouldn't't but to get departure to give me one and they gave me the frequency. Tower cleared me for takeoff and requested that I fly straight out to the 'king dome' before making my right turn. I climbed out and called departure who missed my call (first) and they then told me to 'remain clear of the TCA.' by then I was at the 'king dome' and turning and climbing. I got to 4800' and leveled off as I had misread the only TCA chart I had in the aircraft (a copy machine copy of a commercial TCA chart) and thought another airport was boeing field. Departure then told me that I was 'in the TCA and had been for a while' I questioned this as I thought I was out of the TCA. I didn't want to get into trouble but I did!! So I asked the controller for a phone number. I called TRACON on the ground, the supervisor said he would have to 'turn the report in.' contributing factors were: my misreading of the copy of the TCA plate (copy enclosed). When the controller said I was 'in the TCA,' I thought that the worse it could have been was the 70/50 area. The tower requiring me to climb straight out and 'turn at the king dome' (this was for traffic considerations) had I made a right turn immediately after takeoff I would have been clear of the TCA. The flight was a test flight, and I was probably somewhat preoccupied with the problem (pressurization)

Title: GA SMT UNAUTH PENETRATION OF AIRSPACE SEA TCA.
Narrative: ON WED MAR 88 I BEGAN TAXIING. RECEIVED THE ATIS INFO AND CONTACTED GND CTL. I ASKED THEM FOR A VFR CODE 'SO YOU GUYS CAN WATCH OVER ME.' (ACTUAL QUOTE). GND SAID THAT THEY WOULDN'T GIVE ME A CODE BUT TO ASK TWR FOR ONE. I ASKED TWR AND TOLD THEM THAT I WANTED A CODE AND MY INTENTIONS WERE TO CLB TO 13500' E OF THE FIELD FOR A TEST FLT. THEY SAID THEY WOULDN'T'T BUT TO GET DEP TO GIVE ME ONE AND THEY GAVE ME THE FREQ. TWR CLRED ME FOR TKOF AND REQUESTED THAT I FLY STRAIGHT OUT TO THE 'KING DOME' BEFORE MAKING MY R TURN. I CLBED OUT AND CALLED DEP WHO MISSED MY CALL (FIRST) AND THEY THEN TOLD ME TO 'REMAIN CLR OF THE TCA.' BY THEN I WAS AT THE 'KING DOME' AND TURNING AND CLBING. I GOT TO 4800' AND LEVELED OFF AS I HAD MISREAD THE ONLY TCA CHART I HAD IN THE ACFT (A COPY MACHINE COPY OF A COMMERCIAL TCA CHART) AND THOUGHT ANOTHER ARPT WAS BOEING FIELD. DEP THEN TOLD ME THAT I WAS 'IN THE TCA AND HAD BEEN FOR A WHILE' I QUESTIONED THIS AS I THOUGHT I WAS OUT OF THE TCA. I DIDN'T WANT TO GET INTO TROUBLE BUT I DID!! SO I ASKED THE CTLR FOR A PHONE NUMBER. I CALLED TRACON ON THE GND, THE SUPERVISOR SAID HE WOULD HAVE TO 'TURN THE RPT IN.' CONTRIBUTING FACTORS WERE: MY MISREADING OF THE COPY OF THE TCA PLATE (COPY ENCLOSED). WHEN THE CTLR SAID I WAS 'IN THE TCA,' I THOUGHT THAT THE WORSE IT COULD HAVE BEEN WAS THE 70/50 AREA. THE TWR REQUIRING ME TO CLB STRAIGHT OUT AND 'TURN AT THE KING DOME' (THIS WAS FOR TFC CONSIDERATIONS) HAD I MADE A RIGHT TURN IMMEDIATELY AFTER TKOF I WOULD HAVE BEEN CLR OF THE TCA. THE FLT WAS A TEST FLT, AND I WAS PROBABLY SOMEWHAT PREOCCUPIED WITH THE PROBLEM (PRESSURIZATION)
