Narrative:
A B767-200 aircraft had 12 damaged rollers; on the ball transfer unit's (btu's); in the forward cargo ball mats preventing loading of containers. There are 2 varying deferrals for ball mat rollers. Non-essential function (nef) 25-50B; allows up to 4 rollers missing per ball mat; while carrier repair document allows 6 missing rollers. I used the repair document reference and contacted maintenance control for a work authorization on the subject. Either modify the repair document; or nef; to reflect matching limits.
