Narrative:
Pressure controller failure caused emergency descent situation. ATC issued FL240 trying to get lower with a 'standby.' possibility that we descended through FL240 prior to clearance. Emergency was declared, but exactly when and what altitude we were passing is in doubt in my mind.

Title: EMERGENCY DESCENT CAUSED BE PRESSURIZATION PROBLEM. DESCENDED BEYOND THEIR CLRNC LIMIT BEFORE EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED.
Narrative: PRESSURE CTLR FAILURE CAUSED EMER DSCNT SITUATION. ATC ISSUED FL240 TRYING TO GET LOWER WITH A 'STANDBY.' POSSIBILITY THAT WE DSNDED THROUGH FL240 PRIOR TO CLRNC. EMER WAS DECLARED, BUT EXACTLY WHEN AND WHAT ALT WE WERE PASSING IS IN DOUBT IN MY MIND.
