Narrative:

The event occurred due to a bleed air leak indication. After getting the warning we continued with checklists during the climb to our assigned altitude of 9000 ft. Then we completed the abnormal checklists. The engine was operating within its normal parameters. Shortly after we consulted with our flight attendant to take a walk through the cabin and observe the left engine and to let us know of a visual indications. She reported there were none. My captain and I decided the best and most prudent decision would be to make a 'precautionary landing' and return to our departure airport. Upon touchdown the bleed air light went 'out.' we taxied to the gate and deplaned the passengers. Everything was uneventful. Then maintenance met us at the gate. Communication with dispatch; ATC and the in-flight coordination and communication was excellent.
