Narrative:
Immediately after take-off we received a 'steering inoperative' caution message. Captain ran QRH; which did not affect flight; he then conferred with dispatch and maintenance. Conclusion was made to proceed with flight to destination. Arriving at destination requested runway xxl with approach control. We informed approach that once we touchdown we may not be able to turn off the runway immediately and asked for no one to land behind us. We did not declare an emergency. The captain notified the flight attendants of the situation. Upon arrival tower informed us that ground crew were standing by. We landed without incident; and stopped on the runway. The system was reset and we regained control of the steering system. We moved off the runway with little delay and proceeded to our gate without incident.
