Narrative:
While working my sector I was attempting to adjust my user preferences to enhance my ability to see traffic and gather data more efficiently. In doing so I had temporarily set my approach control boundary intensity lower than normal. While working light to moderate traffic I was applying some techniques I have learned to improve my overall awareness and safety. I noticed aircraft X climbing slowly approaching cleveland approach airspace and knew he would need a point out in a few minutes. When I came back to him to make the point out I recognized that I had misidentified cle approach boundary in my previous consideration. At this time aircraft X was 1 mile from cle approach airspace. I immediately initiated a point out which cle approved. As I continued to work the sector I adjusted the intensity of my approach control boundaries to very near that of my sector boundaries.

Title: ZOB Controller described near airspace incursion event when failing to properly illuminate sector boundary lines on the RADAR display and allowed traffic to enter protected airspace of an adjacent airspace.
