Narrative:
Captain was pilot flying. First officer saw and was struck by green light laser being shined on aircraft on final approach 3 to 5 miles from touchdown. Captain shielded his eyes from light source on right side of aircraft. Laser struck aircraft cockpit for about three seconds on two different occasions. Altitude was 1600 ft to 1000 ft MSL. ATC was notified and aircraft landed. Police met the aircraft and various reports were filed.

Title: An air carrier aircraft was illuminated by a green laser light three to five miles from the OAK Runway 29 between 1;600 and 1;000 FT on approach.
