Narrative:
I refused aircraft for inop thrust reverser for safety of flight reasons. Flight was planned heavy due to duration and in my opinion left little margin for error in a heavy weight landing;i.e. Return to field or diversion or other unplanned events at destination. A local flight manager approached me in operations questioning my refusal in an obvious manner that was simple pilot pushing to fly a broken airplane due to economic reasons.
