Narrative:

During main landing gear (medium large transport) change on a B737-700 aircraft; the reaction link and the lower side brace was installed as an assembly; built up from the vendor. The medium large transport was operationally checked several times with proper operation. It was found that the bolt in the lower side brace assembly was installed head forward; instead of head aft; causing damage to the aft shelf panel. During installation; the bolt was not removed.

Title: During a Main Landing Gear (MLG) change on a B737-700; the Reaction link and Lower Side Brace (Strut) was installed as an assembly from a contracted Vendor Repair facility with the lower Side Strut bolt head facing forward; instead of aft; resulting in damage to the aft shelf during MLG operational checks.
