Narrative:
In cruise at fl 330 first officer`s forward windshield began to arc. Began QRH procedures for windshield arcing. Shut off windshield heat to forward windshield. Using CRM made the decision to continue to our destination. After a minute or two the windshield began to crack in numerous places. Read QRH procedures and made the decision to divert to a nearby enroute airport for safety of flight. Talked to center and requested lower altitude. Received heading and lower altitude for the diversion airport. Advised the flight attendants and then the company via ACARS.
