Narrative:

During climb through FL260; we heard a snap and immediately noticed first officer's windshield had large spider-like cracks. Immediately leveled off at FL260; communicated with center describing situation; worked the QRH; notified center that we needed to return to our departure airport. Communicated with flight attendants; passengers; departure airport operations and maintenance control. Performed overweight landing procedures in QRH; landed at about 151;500 pounds. First officer performed duties of pilot flying and pilot not flying flawlessly. The flight attendants did an exceptional job keeping the passengers calm.

Title: An A320 First Officer's windshield developed cracks climbing through FL260. The crew complied with the QRH and returned to the departure airport.

Narrative: During climb through FL260; we heard a snap and immediately noticed First Officer's windshield had large spider-like cracks.
