Narrative:

Started the takeoff roll. Nothing unusual noted during application of thrust. I called 'set thrust'. The first officer set the thrust and I took the thrust levers back; again no anomalies. The aircraft accelerated normally. At some point the first officer called 'oil pressure'. I glanced at the oil pressure gauge and it was red with a reading of 10 psi. The first officer called '100 KTS' and at the same time I called 'aborting'. I brought the thrust levers back to idle; applied brakes and reverse thrust. After we turned off the runway; we consulted the QRH and I chose to shut down the left engine as it was still only showing 10 psi oil pressure. We returned the aircraft to the gate. Eventually we changed aircraft and continued our flight. At no time during this incident did we get an aural warning; either chimes or voice. All we had was the instrument indication. Dispatch manifest weight at that time was approximately 46;700 pounds.

Title: Regional Jet Flight Crew experiences low oil pressure during the takeoff roll and the Captain rejects at 110 KTS.

Narrative: Started the takeoff roll. Nothing unusual noted during application of thrust. I called 'set thrust'. The FO set the thrust and I took the thrust levers back; again no anomalies. The aircraft accelerated normally. At some point the FO called 'Oil Pressure'. I glanced at the oil pressure gauge and it was red with a reading of 10 PSI. The FO called '100 KTS' and at the same time I called 'Aborting'. Dispatch manifest weight at that time was approximately 46;700 LBS.
