Narrative:
Upon touch down the aircraft turned sharply to the left resulting in the aircraft exiting the left edge of the runway. This is likely due to the left brake being applied during touch down. The most likely cause of this situation was the student pilot landing with the left brake pedal engaged. The aircraft sustained minimal visual damage; and no damage was done to the runway or runway edge lights.
