Narrative:

I was told to install a (previously) removed (door) bustle from aircraft 'X' onto aircraft 'Y'. We installed the door bustle. A few hours later we were told to remove the bustle off aircraft 'Y' and install it back onto aircraft 'X'. I installed the door bustle onto aircraft 'X' at door 1-Left after giving it a general visual inspection for any obvious damage in which none were noted. A few days later I was told that the slide on door 1-Left on aircraft 'X' was (found) pinned. I did not install the pin nor (did) the individual that removed the bustle originally. There was no streamer hanging down; nor is the slide required to be pinned for a bustle that is removed and replaced (right/right).
