Narrative:

Descending through 10;000 ft MSL we noticed an electrical smell in the flight deck. At the same time we were contacted by the flight attendants that they had noticed an electrical smell in the cabin. We declared an emergency and initiated a high speed descent and approach. We landed on runway xx. The approach and landing were uneventful. We had arff inspect the aircraft from the outside with no indication of any problem with the aircraft. The electrical smell had dissipated so we continued to the gate while arff followed.
