Narrative:
January 2010. While performing an engineering order on a B747-400 aircraft; the # 1 (oxygen) bottle was read as the crew bottle; along with the # 5 (oxygen) bottle serial number being recorded incorrectly. This meant there were only six inputs when there should have been seven inputs. The weather was freezing precipitation.
