Narrative:
I was working east radar/controller in charge; I heard an aircraft request direct bacmy fix and I began to assist the newly rated approach data controller in changing the aircraft's routing in the fdio (flight data input/output). After that point my attention was diverted off of west radar's traffic to entering data and monitoring my own position. Recommendation; training on MVA's and diverse vectoring areas.
