Narrative:
After departure; at approximately 1000 ft AGL; we received a master caution EICAS advising that generator 1 was offline. The captain ran the checklist and this caused the air driven generator to deploy. No emergency was declared; and we returned and landed uneventfully.

Title: A CL-65 flight crew returned to the departure airport upon suffering the loss of the #1 generator shortly after takeoff.
Narrative: After departure; at approximately 1000 FT AGL; we received a Master Caution EICAS advising that generator 1 was offline. The Captain ran the checklist and this caused the air driven generator to deploy. No emergency was declared; and we returned and landed uneventfully.
