Narrative:
We just received a 060 heading abeam curle on the JEN9 arrival. We were at 5000 ft. Traffic turned yellow about 200 ft below us and climbing. At the time ATC was advising us of VFR traffic we were already in a 1800-2000 fmp climb as specified by the RA. At 5800 ft we were clear of traffic and began a descent back to 5000 ft. ATC was notified and we returned to altitude and course.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: An Air Carrier Crew approaching DFW reported a TCAS RA alert simultaneously with ATC calling traffic. The RA climb was followed and the traffic passed 200' beneath them.
