Narrative:
Plane came out of heavy 'C' check and had 15 people on plane getting it ready for first revenue acceptance flight. Things were hectic and behind schedule. I did a more cursury O2 check; pushed emergency and slide bar on O2 controller; heard air bleed over speaker in mask mode and continued with other duties. I should have held the slide bar for the full 5 secs as directed by the flight manual; then I would have noticed no air flow after the line to the mask emptied out.
