Narrative:
During take off roll at approximtely 80 KTS; I aborted the takeoff due to right engine drive EICAS message. We exited the runway and with the APU running; shut down the right engine and taxied back to the gate. The right generator had been deferred during our earlier flight the same day but maintenance worked on the aircraft after my request and cleared the MEL.
Original NASA ASRS Text
