Narrative:
I was flying the aircraft from the left seat. Weather was VFR -- crosswind at about 60 degrees from side -- gusting to 22. Gust hit plane just as I was touching down pushing me to left. I evidently hit a runway sign. By the time I got it straightened out I was in the gravel median between runway and taxiway. I had no brakes to assist turning. The runway was down hill. I did not risk turning. Gradually I slowed and stopped with a slight right turn and taxied clear of the runway. Apparent damage was left wheel parts; left wheel strut fairing; left brakes.
