Narrative:

I have been flying for an extended period of time, approximately 1200+ hours, on a student pilot certificate. On 6/thu/88 I took a local flight of approximately 55 mins duration with my daughter. Due to the length of time I have been flying, I didn't think of the regulation restricting the carriage of a passenger. As a result of a long standing fear of tests, I have never proceeded beyond student pilot status. (My suggestion as to how to prevent a recurrence of this situation is, require all student pilots to take a brief written examination on regulations and rules each time a student certificate is issued.
