Narrative:
At our gate at aex; there is no lead-in line to assist the captain with lining up the aircraft to park next to the jetbridge. There is only a short; faded line to show the marshler where to stop the aircraft. This makes it very difficult to taxi to the gate as it is hard to interpert where the marshler wants you to line up. Additionally; there is no aircraft safety area marked on the pavement to show the pilots and rampers that the ground service equipment is a safe distance away from the aircraft.
