Narrative:

Flight was southbound jfk to sju on A-300 at FL330. Received clearance from ny oceanic control via commercial radio to deviate 30 mi west to avoid a large area of thunderstorms in the vicinity of catch intersection. While deviating, omega navigation system failed to the dr mode, and indicated erroneous latitude and longitude indications. ADF bearings were plotted using diw and ddp radio beacons, but were suspected unreliable due to trw. Flight possibly infringed upon A-25 airspace, and ny oceanic was advised of this possibility through commercial radio, who issued clearance to climb to FL350, which was accomplished. Omega was corrected by nonprecision update procedure and flight returned to estimated centerline of A-300.

Title: ACR WDB LOST OMEGA NAVIGATION REFERENCE ON ATLANTIC TRACK TO SJU. ACFT WAS DEVIATING AROUND TSTM ACTIVITY.

Narrative: FLT WAS SBND JFK TO SJU ON A-300 AT FL330. RECEIVED CLRNC FROM NY OCEANIC CTL VIA COMMERCIAL RADIO TO DEVIATE 30 MI W TO AVOID A LARGE AREA OF TSTMS IN THE VICINITY OF CATCH INTXN. WHILE DEVIATING, OMEGA NAV SYS FAILED TO THE DR MODE, AND INDICATED ERRONEOUS LAT AND LONGITUDE INDICATIONS. ADF BEARINGS WERE PLOTTED USING DIW AND DDP RADIO BEACONS, BUT WERE SUSPECTED UNRELIABLE DUE TO TRW. FLT POSSIBLY INFRINGED UPON A-25 AIRSPACE, AND NY OCEANIC WAS ADVISED OF THIS POSSIBILITY THROUGH COMMERCIAL RADIO, WHO ISSUED CLRNC TO CLB TO FL350, WHICH WAS ACCOMPLISHED. OMEGA WAS CORRECTED BY NONPRECISION UPDATE PROC AND FLT RETURNED TO ESTIMATED CENTERLINE OF A-300.
