Narrative:
We were holding coming into our destination and were getting close to min fuel. We called our dispatcher to change our alternate. He ran and sent us the new fuel requirements and it was agreed that if we had to hold any longer than our efc time that we would divert.

Title: CRJ-700 flight crew who experienced extended holding on their arrival had to divert as they neared MIN FUEL.
Narrative: We were holding coming into our destination and were getting close to MIN FUEL. We called our Dispatcher to change our alternate. He ran and sent us the new fuel requirements and it was agreed that if we had to hold any longer than our EFC time that we would divert.
