Narrative:
Mci center gave us a descent clearance to cross keokk intersection at FL330. This was programmed into the FMC and the descent was started on time using the VNAV; LNAV; and the autopilot. About 6 miles before keokk we were handed off to chicago center. We were on the descent path with the speed about 285 KTS. Upon call in to ZAU center we were given an immediate clearance to slow to 260 KTS. The frequency was busy and we were unable to question which clearance was more important; so the first officer extended the speedbrakes to comply with both as close as we could. When we were told to slow we were on descent path to cross keokk at FL330. We crossed keokk at about FL337 and 260 KTS. The controller made no remark about conflicting traffic or loss of separation. The controller was very busy and we had no time to ask about the clearance before we were at FL330 about 2 miles past keokk.
