Narrative:

A verbal point-out was given to me from cle center on aircraft #1 at FL310. The aircraft was deviating around thunderstorm near cleveland. Aircraft #2 was handed off to me at FL290 at reduced airspeed. This aircraft was vectored and climbed. Sep was lost. No alert was activated at indianapolis because only one aircraft was tracked. The alert at cle center activated. Thunderstorm are extremely difficult to work with. Aircraft deviating should always have revised routes with appropriate handoff to receiving facility.
