Narrative:

In flight at 43;900 leveling off at FL440 we experienced an engine flameout. There were no forewarning signs; engine fluctuations; nor was the engine operated outside of the prescribed parameters. Immediately after the engine flameout was verified by both captain and co-pilot the appropriate checklist was then initiated. We also advised ATC of the situation and requested to descend to FL240 and directed to [land at] the nearest suitable landing facility. Once level at FL240 we initiated the engine air-start procedure as prescribed in the checklist. After engine air-start procedure was completed the engine was restored and operated within normal parameters. We then decided to continue to an enroute alternate with no further problems. Flight diagnostics are attached to this report: ATC gave a pilots discretion climb from FL390 to FL450. At FL440 approximate temperature was iso-57. At FL440 approximate speed in mach was .725. At FL440-tailwind component was +85. At FL440 heading was approximately 025 degrees. At FL440 KTS and miles per hour equaled 471 KTS and 542 mph. At FL440 vertical speed indicated approximately 0 ft per minute climb.
