Narrative:
Aircraft X flight plan did not transfer from atop to micro earts. Atop sent a message to the sector queue stating need re-coordinate with paza. I thought it was a normal out of conformance message and deleted the message. As aircraft X was approaching the border of atop to micro earts I was getting a relief briefing and did not notice that aircraft X did not auto hand off to sector 69. Recommendation; have messages that require manual coordination's be in a different color in the sector queue.

Title: ZAN Controller described a failed hand off event when an ATOP alerting message was deleted disabling the automatic hand off feature; the reporter suggesting message enhancements when manual hand off's are required.
Narrative: Aircraft X flight plan did not transfer from ATOP to MICRO EARTS. ATOP sent a message to the sector queue stating need re-coordinate with PAZA. I thought it was a normal out of conformance message and deleted the message. As Aircraft X was approaching the border of ATOP to MICRO EARTS I was getting a relief briefing and did not notice that Aircraft X did not auto hand off to Sector 69. Recommendation; have messages that require manual coordination's be in a different color in the sector queue.
