Narrative:
Upon takeoff roll it was discovered by lack of airspeed that the pitot tube cover was accidentally left on. Takeoff was aborted (aircraft never left the ground). Called tower and advised aborted takeoff. Cleared the runway and advised tower of situation. Tower advised they would send flight operations out to oversee removal of pitot cover on taxiway. Engines were shut down and cover was removed. Flight departed without further incidence. A very thorough first flight pre-flight inspection was done on aircraft that morning; but after reaching destination another crewmember installed pitot cover. Due to haste to depart it was missed prior to taxi. Also note that cover is very faded and not easily seen.
