Narrative:
I was climbing out on an assigned heading and saw oil coming out of right engine. I turned back toward the airport and notified ATC of the problem with right engine; and told them I was shutting engine down and declaring an emergency. I know that I should have talked to ATC before turning back but I talked to them just as soon as I could. I thought at the time that I needed to get back to the airport as soon as possible.
