Narrative:
A heavy was on straight-in visual approach to runway 25R at lax. A light twin was five miles south of final and paralleling. The light twin reported traffic in sight and was instructed to follow the heavy and cleared for a visual approach to runway 25L. Aircraft were subsequently side-by-side 18 miles out from the airport. We failed to give the heavy traffic information.

Title: SCT failed to notify a heavy jet on LAX Runway 25R final that another aircraft was on Runway 25L final. Subsequently the heavy jet Captain took evasive action from the unseen traffic because a TCAS RA indicated a NMAC.
Narrative: A Heavy was on straight-in visual approach to Runway 25R at LAX. A light twin was five miles south of final and paralleling.
